Our mission statement is “Support Passion”. We are a group of people who are extremely passionate about being outside, in wild places, in ways that feed our awe for the world around us. We are equally passionate about helping you to have the best possible experience outside, both close to home and at the edge of the earth. When you walk into Backwoods, the people behind the counter are core users of the products we sell, people whose opinions and advice are born from real, personal, experience. We strive to be at the cutting edge of outdoor gear, clothing and footwear technology, skills and techniques. Backwoods endeavors to be an engaged member of our community, supporting organizations that protect both the places we love, and the people around us. But above all, Backwoods is a place for people who like to have fun, to revel in living in an incredible outdoor playground, and to pursue meaningful adventures short and long, near and far.
